Actalent is seeking a
QC Lab Technician
to join our specialty manufacturing team in Norcross, GA. You will perform quality control tests on raw materials and final products, maintain meticulous documentation, and ensure compliance with high quality standards.
Responsibilities
Collect samples of incoming raw materials for quality control testing. Conduct physical testing on materials and products, including modulus, FTIR, viscosity, particle size analysis, refractive index, UV-VIS colorimetry, and adhesion testing. Perform tests on each product variation, focusing on one product per technician. Maintain a log of instrument calibrations and conduct monthly calibration tests to ensure accuracy. Collect data, report findings, and generate certificates of analysis. Interface with suppliers as needed and participate in quality audits.
Essential Skills
Proficiency in QC testing and instrumentation calibration. Experience in a laboratory setting, preferably with FTIR, viscometer, and UV-VIS instruments. Strong documentation skills for recording testing results. Bachelor's degree in a science-related field such as Biology or Chemistry, or equivalent experience. Experience working with chemicals or in related fields such as food and beverage.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
ISO certification or experience working in an ISO-regulated environment. Experience with quality audits. Familiarity with chemical testing procedures.
Work Environment
Work hours are from 7-AM to 4-PM with a 30-minute lunch and two 15-minute breaks. The position is based in a lab setting within a warehouse facility, working closely with a Lab Lead. A laid-back and flexible team environment is offered, with potential for growth due to AI Data Center and 5G projects. Steel-toed boots or shoes are required and uniforms will be provided.
