We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Registered Dietitian to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in nutrition and dietetics, with experience in both acute care and long-term care settings. This role involves developing individualized care plans, conducting patient assessments, and providing health coaching to promote optimal health outcomes for our patients. Dietician Duties
Assess patients' nutritional needs and develop comprehensive dietary care plans tailored to individual health conditions. Responsible for resident's Nutritional Assessment, Nutrition Care Plan, MDS completion, and accuracy of modified diets. Attend Care Plan meetings. Do meal rounds, observing appearance, quantity, and temperature, and sampling the food to estimate its palatability. Assist in the preparation of menus and recipe analysis. Assist the Food Service Director in planning and directing the preparation of modified diets prescribed by medical staff and residents with therapeutic diet needs. Dietician Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Nutrition or related field. Experience in clinical settings, particularly in long-term care facilities is preferred. Strong knowledge of physiology as it relates to nutrition and health. Familiarity with health coaching techniques to support patient engagement in their dietary choices. Experience with patient assessment methodologies and the development of individualized care plans. Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team while supervising dietary staff effectively. Proficiency in using EMR systems for documentation purposes. A passion for promoting healthy lifestyles through effective nutrition education.
