Job Description Provide outpatient psychiatric evaluation and medication management services at Snoqualmie Behavioral Health Services. This role is integral to the development and implementation of holistic, culturally informed services designed to meet the unique needs of the Snoqualmie Tribal community. The incumbent will be expected to operate with a high degree of independence, engage in interdepartmental collaboration, and contribute to long-term strategic goals. Successful candidates must demonstrate a deep respect for and understanding of Indigenous knowledge systems, traditions, and community structures.

Essential Duties

Assess, diagnose, and treat adults, adolescents, and children experiencing symptoms of behavioral Health disorders.

Prescribe, recommend, or discontinue medications appropriate to treatment plan and in accordance with License and scope of practice.

Collaborate with treatment team providers to coordinate client care.

Maintain proper client records.

Assessment and diagnosis and prescribe medications, including controlled substances, within scope of practice.

Coordinate care with clinical and referral staff.

Counsel clients in session as necessary.

Additional Duties

Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to quality improvement efforts.

Maintain thorough and confidential documentation of all interactions in compliance with HIPAA regulations.

Attend continuing education and training sessions to remain current with best practices and Tribal health initiatives.

Requirements

Excellent customer service skills and written and verbal communication. Demonstrated ability to communicate with diverse populations in a courteous, helpful, and clearly understood manner.

Ability to maintain confidentiality and use tact and discretion.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs and other applications related to scheduling and patient management systems.

Knowledge of Native cultures, history, traditions, and healing ceremonies are strongly preferred.

Ability to work with both adult and youth/child populations.

Education & Experience Education Required:

MD, DO, PA-C, or PMHNP licensed in WA.

Experience

Minimum of one year experience providing direct care to people receiving treatment for psychiatric disorders.

Experience with Telemedicine.

Experience working in Native communities with families and parents strongly preferred.

Certifications/Licenses

Valid DEA number and an unrestricted DEA License in Washington.

Active Washington medical License via WA DOH, prescriptive authority.

DEA Registration.

Other Requirements

Must be able to pass a thorough pre‑employment background investigation.

Must agree to be subject to the Tribe's Controlled Substance and Alcohol Testing Policy to include pre‑employment screening.

Upon hire, successfully complete and maintain defensive driving, fire suppression, passenger assistance, HIPPA, Cultural sensitivity, and child safety seat securement trainings.

Work Environment The work environment includes an office environment in a controlled atmosphere building. This position also includes frequent driving of a motor vehicle and transportation of clients to and from their homes and their appointments.

Tribal Preference The Snoqualmie Indian Tribe follows the Tribal Hiring Preference as outlined in tribal policies, including the Tribal Employment Rights Ordinance (TERO). TERO sets forth certain hiring preferences for qualified individuals who are enrolled in a federally recognized Indian tribe, as well as, in some cases, preference for certain family members of those individuals.

Additional Information

Compensation will be determined based on experience and starts at $94.71 per hour.

This position is a part‑time position and employment is at will.
