Physical Therapist
Hospital Name: Select Rehabilitation Hospital of Denton - Outpatient
Location: Denton, TX
Schedule: Per Diem – During the week PRN coverage for outpatient and weekend opportunities in our inpatient hospital
Compensation: $60.00 per hour
Our outpatient clinic is committed to providing exceptional and compassionate care to best address the medical, physical, emotional, and vocational challenges for individuals with brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, neurological disorders, orthopedic issues, amputation, and multiple traumas.
Responsibilities
Perform initial and ongoing systematic patient assessment.
Promote continuous quality improvement.
Teach and counsel patients/families.
Set goals and develop treatment plans.
Work cooperatively to identify and solve patient‑specific and facility‑wide needs.
Participate in discharge planning, including placement, patient/family education and adaptive equipment.
Supervise physical therapy assistants, and supervise PT and PTA students.
Conduct individual patient therapy regimens.
Monitor patient response to treatment and modify treatment during sessions as needed.
Complete documentation according to department policies and procedures.
Participate in departmental, hospital, and community continuing education seminars and in‑services.
Qualifications
State licensure: Current state license as a Physical Therapist (PT).
Certified BLS: Possess or obtain within 90 days of employment.
