Changing Lives.® The Vascular and Neuroscience Intermediate and Acute Care Unit (2 RCP) is a 34-bed intermediate acute care unit specializing in compassionate care for adult neurology, neurosurgical, and vascular surgery patients who may need telemetry or intensive neurological monitoring, or both. Oversee daily operations of the nursing unit, ensuring efficient and effective patient care. Mentor and support nursing staff, fostering a collaborative and positive work environment. Implement and monitor quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes. Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and organizational policies. Serve as a liaison between staff, patients, and interdisciplinary teams. Become an extension of the 2RC Leadership Team. Details

Regular salaried position located in Iowa City, Iowa Salary:

$61,183 minimum at 100% effort to commensurate; this does not include differentials. Salary will vary based on years of experience and percent of effort. SEIU Pay Plan: SEE PAY PLAN URL BELOW. Pay Differentials:

Evening, night, and weekend shift differentials. Inpatient differential of $10,000 per year based on percent time. Benefits Highlights:

An Associate’s Degree in Nursing, a Diploma in Nursing, a Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing, a Professional Master’s of Nursing and Healthcare Practice (MNHP), MSN/Clinical Nurse Leader or a Master’s Degree in Nursing (MSN, MA) is required. Required Qualifications

Current RN licensure in Iowa. 2+ years of clinical nursing experience, with 1 year in a leadership or supervisory role (charge role) preferred. Certification such as CMSRN preferred. Currently working on Professional Recognition Program. Strong communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. Commitment to continuous learning and professional development. Certifications : Current license to practice nursing in Iowa is required by date of hire. Desirable Qualifications : Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing or Master’s Degree in Nursing is highly desired. If a Baccalaureate degree in Nursing is not yet obtained, active enrollment in a BSN program is desirable. Previous telemetry experience is desired. Knowledge of University policies and procedures.
