A high-acuity Travel Contract opportunity is available for an experienced Operating Room RN in Weston, Florida. This role is based in a large, multi-specialty teaching hospital and is ideal for a nurse with strong robotics, orthopedic, and neuro experience who thrives in a fast-paced surgical environment.
Contract Details
13-week travel contract
Schedule: Days
Hours: 4x10s
Shift time: 6:45 am – 5:15 pm
On-call required
1 weekday call shift per week
2 weekend 12-hour call shifts per month
Unit Details
General OR serving adult and geriatric populations
18 operating rooms
Approximately 55 cases per day
High-acuity, multi-specialty surgical services
Teaching facility with students and new staff
Primary Responsibilities
Provide perioperative nursing care across multiple surgical specialties
Support robotics, orthopedic, and neuro cases
Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia, and OR teams
Precept and work alongside students and newly hired staff
Float within scope of practice as needed
Document care accurately, preferably using Epic
Requirements
Minimum 2 years of OR RN experience
Strong robotics, ortho, and neuro experience required
ACLS and BLS required at submission
NIHSS required prior to start
Epic experience preferred
Teaching hospital experience preferred
Pending license accepted
