Veterinary Technician (Full-Time or Part-Time). Compensation

Ranges are for demonstrative purposes only; pay is negotiable based on job-related experience, skills, and training. Vet Techs with both comprehensive clinical skills and either 2+ years of Vet Tech experience -OR- an active Texas license (LVT), and who can perform standard Vet Tech duties with reasonable confidence, whether independently or under guidance, range from $17 to $20 per hour. Vet Techs with less experience -OR- requiring additional clinical training or greater supervisory oversight range from $15 to $16 per hour. Benefits

experienced Veterinary Technicians only

who possess strong working knowledge of standard veterinary procedures, diseases, pharmaceuticals, and patient care. Willing to explore both FULL‑TIME AND PART‑TIME options. LVT license and/or graduation from an AVMA‑CVTEA‑accredited program is a plus, but not required. We’re seeking Vet Techs with demonstrated proficiency assisting Veterinarians during surgeries, medical procedures, and euthanasias; with IV catheter placement; taking blood draws; monitoring anesthesia; taking radiographs; preparing medications; operating common veterinary and laboratory equipment; safely handling and restraining animals; caring for and cleaning animals; clinical safety and sterilization standards; maintaining inventory logbooks; updating patient progress and care in electronic medical records; communicating with and educating clients; etc. Veterinary Technicians play a leading role in the health and care of patients. Whether serving as a second set of hands for the Veterinarians or working directly with clients, Veterinary Assistants are essential to day‑to‑day operations. Accordingly, punctuality and reliability are essential. Veterinary Technicians serve as a second set of eyes for the Veterinarians. Emerging concerns regarding a patient's health may be noticed first by a Veterinary Technician. Accordingly, Vet Techs must have keen detail orientation, work well both independently and under guidance, and demonstrate initiative in completing daily tasks. Following through on detailed instructions is also essential.
