Position Overview The Sr. Manager - Procurement & Supply Chain Management is a strategic leadership role responsible for managing approximately $50-60M in Indirect Spend. This individual will lead a team of two and partner with internal stakeholders to drive cost savings (targeting ~\$9.7M) and value creation across key categories, including Professional Services, Corporate Travel, Contingent Workforce, and Facilities Management (Corporate and Manufacturing).
Success in this role requires a blend of hands‑on financial modeling, high‑level executive "storytelling" via PowerPoint, and the ability to influence within a matrixed manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
Category Management: Manage a ~$50-60M Indirect Spend portfolio, specifically overseeing Professional Services, Corporate Travel, Contingent Workforce, and Facilities Management.
Strategic Sourcing: Lead end‑to‑end sourcing projects specifically within Indirect Categories and articulate specific savings achievements against goals (e.g., contributing to a ~\$9.7M savings target).
Negotiation & Contract Management: Drive negotiations for services and indirect contracts, focusing on Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) and mitigating risk in service agreements (e.g., cleaning services, labor contracts).
Team Leadership: Manage, mentor, and foster accountability for a team of two direct reports while collaborating with cross‑functional partners like Finance and Legal.
Data Analysis & Financial Modeling: Utilize high proficiency in Excel for bid comparisons, cost modeling, and complex data analysis to "tell the story" through numbers.
Executive Communication: Create and deliver advanced PowerPoint presentations for executive leadership to translate complex data and sourcing results into clear, strategic narratives.
Stakeholder Influence: Navigate a complex, matrixed organization to influence stakeholders who do not report to you to drive compliance and savings.
Qualifications & Requirements
Experience: 8–12 years of progressive experience in strategic sourcing or procurement.
Specialized Focus: Must have a minimum of 7 years of experience specifically managing Indirect Sourcing categories (Facilities, Professional Services, Travel).
Industry Background: Experience in Manufacturing or Heavy Industrial environments is preferred to ensure understanding of manufacturing facility service contracts (HVAC, cleaning, etc.).
Management Experience: Must have prior experience managing direct reports.
Technical Skills:
Demonstrated high proficiency in Excel (Financial Modeling).
Demonstrated high proficiency in PowerPoint (Executive Presentations).
Travel: Ability to travel occasionally as required for supplier meetings or site visits.
Work Authorization: Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
Compensation & Benefits
Base Salary: Up to $150,000.
Bonus: 20% annual performance bonus potential.
