Overview

This Position, properly credentialed as a General Psychiatrist, Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist, Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, or Physician Assistant is responsible for the delivery of professional and competent psychiatric care (in person and/or by telemedicine) to a full caseload prorated based on % FTE, to individuals in need of integrated psychiatric care.

Responsibilities

Provide psychiatric evaluations, medication management, treatment planning, and emergency evaluations.

Deliver medication assisted treatment for substance use disorders and other specified psychiatric services or related activities.

Engage in physician delegation of prescriptive authority to nurse practitioners and physician assistants, staff consultation, quality review activities, and treatment team participation.

Provide training and supervision of nursing students, advanced nurse practitioner students, physician assistant students, medical students and/or residents as assigned.

Maintain documentation and documentation timeliness in the electronic medical record as required by the site.

Compliance and Qualifications

Maintain all licensing and certifications necessary for the provision of assigned services and comply with BTCS (and applicable contracted site) policies, training, procedures, and billing code requirements.

Ensure documentation is completed in a timely manner per the assigned location.

Must have valid Texas driver’s license and maintain approved driving status throughout employment.

Location and Compensation

Location: Cedar Park, TX and Lockhart, TX

Hourly Salary Range: $65.63 – $72.38

.75/hour – Bilingual

Up to $2.00/hour – Previous experience with a community center in Texas in a similar role

Up to $4.00/hour – Tenure with BTCS

Credentials and Qualifications (Minimum)

PMHNP/APRN : Registered Nurse with active license from Texas Board of Nursing as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner-Board Certified (PMHNP-BC) with Prescriptive Authority for adult, child and adolescent psychiatric disorders; Current, active Controlled Substance Registration Certificate issued by the U.S. Department of Justice, Drug Enforcement Administration (or in process); Unrestricted eligibility to participate in provider network for Medicare/Medicaid/other third-party payers. Will consider candidates in process of obtaining above certifications and licensure.

OR

Psychiatrist : Doctor of Medicine or Osteopathy. By hire date: Certification of completion of residency in psychiatry; Current, active license to practice medicine in Texas as issued by the Texas Medical Board; Current, active Controlled Substance Registration Certificate issued by the U.S. Department of Justice, Drug Enforcement Administration (or in process). Unrestricted eligibility to participate in provider network for Medicare/Medicaid/other third-party payers.

OR

Physician Assistant : Current, active Texas PA license as issued by the Texas Medical Board; Current, active Controlled Substance Registration Certificate issued by the U.S. Department of Justice, Drug Enforcement Administration (or in process of obtaining); unrestricted eligibility to participate in provider network for Medicare/Medicaid/other third party payers. Will consider candidates in process of obtaining above certifications and licensure.

Preferred Qualifications: MD or DO; Bilingual in Spanish; Experience in Texas Community Mental Health Center; Completion of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry fellowship; APN or PA: at least 2 years of experience in Texas Community Mental Health Center.
