Veterinary Technician Supervisor
to join our outstanding
Emergency and Critical Care
team!

Compensation:
$32-$36/hr based on experience and licensure. Additional compensation offered for VTS candidates!
Schedule:
Four 10-hour shifts, Friday - Monday. Hours negotiable!

Responsibilities
Leadership & Supervision:
Serve as a direct representative of the Emergency Critical Care team, fostering a professional, collaborative, and safe work environment. Mediate conflicts, ensure staff follow policies, and maintain high standards of patient care.
Team Management:
Oversee daily responsibilities of Emergency Critical Care staff, including task delegation, schedule coordination, and coverage for staffing gaps. Conduct regular check-ins, monthly performance reviews, and professional development assessments.
Technical Support:
Provide hands-on support for cases as needed, cover technical duties when necessary, and assist in implementing new protocols and policies.
Training & Development:
Assist in creating, updating, and maintaining training programs, and support ongoing skill development and continuing education for staff.
Communication & Collaboration:
Facilitate departmental meetings, engage with doctors for feedback, and coordinate with other supervisors and departments to ensure smooth workflow and high-quality patient care.
Operational Oversight:
Maintain and update standard operating procedures (SOPs), contribute to hospital-wide cleaning schedules, and ensure adherence to all policies and procedures.
Qualifications
RVT or other licensing credentials required. At least 2 years of experience in a lead or supervisory role.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office Products and Internet Explorer. Knowledge of Smartflow and ezyVet preferred.
Handles stress well and maintains a positive attitude with clients and team members. Effective at conflict resolution and problem solving. Strong multitasking and anticipation of needs. Excellent communication with staff and management.
Fluent English skills (speaking & reading) are required for the role; fluency in multiple languages is a plus.
