Vaco has partnered with our client to hire a Payroll Tax Administrator to join its team. This position is onsite.
Position Summary
Payroll Administrator with a strong payroll tax and compliance focus
Responsible for multi-state payroll processing, tax filings, agency notices, and employee payroll support
Role includes some payroll processing, with opportunity for expanded payroll responsibilities over time
Responsibilities
Review, research, and resolve payroll tax notices with state and federal agencies
Register new state withholding and unemployment accounts as needed
Process weekly payroll timesheets from automated time-tracking systems
Prepare payroll tax files for third-party tax filing services
Support year-end reporting and W-2 processing
Maintain payroll and employer contribution records
Respond to employee payroll inquiries and resolve discrepancies
Qualifications
Associate degree or equivalent experience (3–5 years in payroll administration)
Strong knowledge of federal and multi-state payroll tax requirements
Experience with ADP Smart Compliance, payroll tax compliance, and agency filings preferred
Proficiency with Microsoft applications (Excel, Lists, Office); Power BI a plus
Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco/Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual’s skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs. With that said, as required by local law in geographies that require salary range disclosure, Vaco/Highspring notes the salary range for the role is noted in this job posting. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, and can participate in medical, dental, and vision benefits as well as the company’s 401(k) retirement plan.
