Job description
DBA Construction, Inc. is looking for an experienced Project Manager for Heavy Civil construction contracts. The ideal candidate will be motivated and team orientated, to help support a project team on a wide variety of construction projects.
Job Title: Project Manager
Location: Phoenix, AZ
Equipment Provided: Company Truck, Gas Card, Laptop and Cell Phone
Summary The Project manager is the primary contact and manages projects from start to finish, including material procurement, subcontracts, submittals, scheduling, RFI's, cost tracking, budget/cost code reports, change orders, and project closeout.
Key Responsibilities This position requires a strong understanding of public works construction methods, attention to detail, data analysis, the ability to prioritize and execute, problem solve, and have excellent documentation skills, and good interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with all project team members.
Work with the project superintendent, establishing, maintaining, and managing customer/owner, and subcontractor expectations
Attend meetings including pre-construction, project, and staff meetings
Monitor and track quantities on completed work and prepare monthly billing invoices
Review pay estimates with owner
Verify and approve invoices from subcontractors and suppliers
Prepare and update project schedule
Process change orders
Communicate effectively progress/problems to senior management, field superintendent/foreman, subcontractor, and owner
Manage all aspects related to the execution of the project including safety, quality control and project integrity
Review and provide accurate project costs and forecasting
Manage assigned office and project engineers, including training and development
Preferred Qualifications and Skills
Three (3) to Five (5) years of experience within a heavy civil construction or engineering firm is preferred
B.S. Degree or equivalent work experience
Must have good documentation skills and be proactive in resolving issues quickly
Ability to write professional and effective emails and letters
Ability to timely organize and archive project documentation
Excellent time management and organizational skills
Understand construction language, plans, materials, and methods and ability to communicate effectively within the construction environment

Civil Construction knowledge with curbs, gutters, sidewalks, valley gutters, bridges, ADA ramps, dirt work, underground, and punch lists.
Three to Five years' experience as a superintendent in civil construction.
Mentor and teach upcoming craft workers.
Pass a pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check.
Be able to provide valid documentation for the I-9 Immigration Document
Attention to detail and follow directions.
Must be willing to travel and work away from home when required.
Steel boots are required.
Strictly adheres to safety requirements and procedures.
