About the role The Human Resources Senior Manager will lead the strategic and operational HR function across a multi-state, early-stage data center technology company. This role will oversee all areas of HR—including workforce planning, compliance, employee relations, recruiting, payroll as needed, benefits, culture, and learning and development. The Senior Manager will serve as a key advisor to the executive team, while ensuring HR programs align with business goals and comply with multi‑state regulations. This position is based in Denver, CO and ideally in the HQ office a minimum of four days per week.

What you’ll do

Define and execute long‑term HR strategy aligned with company goals

Serve as a strategic advisor to executive leadership on workforce trends, labor relations, and organizational design

Accountable for all aspects of HR compliance, including multi‑state regulations and risk mitigation

Organizational Development & Talent Management

Lead succession planning and career development strategies across field and professional teams

Design/Lead performance management systems that support a culture of accountability and continuous improvement

Employee Relations & Culture

Promote a safe, respectful, and inclusive work environment

Oversee investigations and ensure timely, consistent resolution of concerns

Model leadership values and promote employee engagement at all levels

Total Rewards & Workforce Planning

Oversee and manage compensation strategy and benefits, including alignment with industry standards

Ensure compliance with wage and hour laws, leave programs (CO, CA PFL/CFRA, WA PFML, OR PFML), and benefit regulations as applicable to our workforce

Accountable for HR Systems & Analytics (we currently use Rippling)

Analyze workforce data to inform decision‑making and executive reporting

Mentor HR staff and equip leaders for performance and career development discussionsHR Systems & Metrics

Qualifications

10+ years of progressive HR experience, including 5+ years in a leadership role

Experience working with field‑based teams and environmental or technical workforces

Deep understanding of multi‑state labor law compliance (CO, WA, OR, CA+)

Strong executive presence with a collaborative, solution‑oriented leadership style

Excellent judgment, discretion, and the ability to handle sensitive issues with professionalism

Strong knowledge of MS suite, including SharePoint, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams

Authorized to work in the United States on a full‑time basis without employer visa sponsorship

Leadership and org design competencies

Education

BA/BS, with a graduate degree or equivalent preferred in HR or related field of study

Senior SHRM or HR certification

The pay range for this role is:

160,000 - 185,000 USD per year (Colorado)
