Arthrex Manufacturing, located in Ave Maria, FL. is actively seeking a Second Shift, Manufacturing Supervisor for the I&R (Imaging and Resection) Synergy Department to oversee, manage and provide direction to the manufacturing department that will effectively and profitably meet or exceed the internal and /or external client’s expectations by providing superior quality products and service. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Assist Lead Manufacturing Supervisor with the operational performance of area of responsibility Recommends proper staffing levels based on production needs for area of responsibility Monitors production plan by consistently meeting daily production schedules and reports status Provides detailed daily communication to managers and fellow supervisors via email passdown Gives input for introduction of new products and processes into the plant Provides proper and timely training of staff Ensures operator rotation program is functional Encourages a continuous process improvement environment Recognizes and addresses process problems regularly Assures proper maintenance of equipment and tooling Monitors employee performance through goal setting Perform attendance and time clock management Ensures proper communication between shifts and crews covering production status, backorders, quality, safety and other production issues Ensures daily housekeeping and organization standards are followed Delegates responsibility and works with others to develop their capabilities Disciplines and discharges employees with the assistance of HR Reviews, counsels, evaluates, disciplines, hires and discharges employees with the assistance of HR Comply with LEAN initiatives and create culture of accountability in a LEAN environment Assists employees with professional development/trainingMonitors and executes corrective actions to reduce/eliminate scrap Performs Safety training for direct reports. Monitor areas for potential hazards. Ensures compliance by all employees to policies and procedures Stays current with ISO/FDA and internal quality assurance policies Education and Experience
High school diploma or GED equivalent required Bachelor’s degree is preferred. 5 years of manufacturing experience required, preferably in a machining environment or 3 years of progressive manufacturing experience, preferably in a machining environment, AND a bachelor’s degree. 3 years of leadership experience within a machining environment preferred Experience in a Lean manufacturing environment is desirable Experience in medical devices or another highly regulated industry is preferred Proficiency with standard MS Office desktop applications (Word, Excel, Outlook) is required Knowledge and Skill Requirements
Demonstrated process improvement skills The ability to prioritize, work in a fast-paced environment, handle multiple tasks, and work under time constraints Requires computer knowledge of Windows Able to communicate effectively, in both written and verbal formats, using spoken and written English Must have leadership skills and be able to effectively supervise and motivate team members Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, and / or schedule form Machine, Tools, and Equipment Skills
Wire EDM’s, Laser Weld/Marking equipment, Ultrasonic cleaners, Passivation equipment. Demonstrates good computer skills. Benefits
