Overview
OVP Health is actively seeking a Board Certified Emergency Medicine or EM-experienced Family Medicine/Internal Medicine Physician to help grow our Holzer Health Programs in Gallipolis, Ohio. OVP is a family-owned physician group focused on hospitalist and emergency department services. The current opportunity is provided by OVP as contracted by Holzer Health System.
Position Details
Specialty: Emergency Medicine; Unit: Emergency Medicine
Type: Permanent; Status: Open
Schedule: Varied 12-hour shifts with a day/night blend (nights preferred can be arranged)
Location: Gallipolis, Ohio
Volume/Coverage: ~21k ED visits per year; 20-bed ED; 24 hours/day physician coverage
Shift coverage: 12-hour physician shifts; 14 hours/day of APP coverage
EMR: Paragon EMR
Responsibilities
Provide patient care in the ED consistent with board certification requirements
Collaborate with hospitalists, APPs, and other ED staff to deliver high-quality care
Participate in on-site administrative support and team processes as needed
Work either as a full-time employee (FTE) or independent contractor (IC) with guaranteed shifts
Qualifications
Board Certified in Emergency Medicine or Board Certified in Internal Medicine/Family Medicine with EM experience
Emergency Medicine experience of at least 12 months / 2,000 hours (not including training)
OH license (in hand or in process)
List of procedures the provider is experienced in performing (note in the Experience field)
Proof of COVID vaccination status
Permanent Placement Fee (note in Additional Submission Details at Name Clear)
DEA license (must be obtained prior to start)
Clean malpractice licensing
Ability to obtain visa is not required; visa candidates not accepted
No new graduate candidates; experience required
Compensation and Benefits
May be contracted as W2 w/ benefits or 1099 independent contractor w/ guaranteed shifts
All-inclusive rates: 1099 - $250/hr; W2 - $240/hr; additional $10/hr for all-night shifts
W2 benefits include Health/Dental/Vision (with HSA), $250k group life, 401k with company contribution, and $3000 CME

Relocation may be required; residency within the immediate local area may be necessary
On-site administrative support provided
