We are seeking a VP of Data Center Service to lead global service strategy, service sales execution, and operational excellence across a growing data center services organization. This role is responsible for shaping service offerings, supporting global sales efforts, managing risk and financial performance, and ensuring a high standard of service delivery worldwide.
Position Responsibilities
Service Sales & Business Development
Lead service selling and development activities with prospective customers in partnership with sales teams
Support pipeline development and deal closures on a weekly basis
Provide quote strategy guidance to support competitive and profitable service offerings
Customer & Escalation Management
Serve as the final escalation point for customer service issues
Resolve internal escalations across engineering, operations, and supply chain teams
Global Service Strategy
Define and evolve the global service coverage model
Provide guidance on global resource load planning by project and overall pipeline
Develop tools and materials to support global service sales, including service presentations, coverage models, resource plans, and SLA templates
Financial & Risk Oversight
Provide P&L guidance and financial oversight for service operations
Manage liability exposure and ensure appropriate risk mitigation
Oversee revenue true-ups related to idle time and scope changes
Leadership & Culture
Lead and support a strong service culture focused on professionalism, accountability, and client partnership
Maintain standards for onsite conduct, appearance, and client engagement
Maintain recruiting accountability to support global service needs
Governance & Reporting
Prepare and present service updates and performance readouts to executive leadership and the Board of Directors
Prerequisites
Extensive experience leading global service organizations or complex service operations
Proven ability to negotiate and manage large-scale service contracts
Strong background in service sales, financial oversight, and cross-functional leadership
Ability to travel globally as required
Certifications (Preferred, but not Required)
Executive leadership, project management, or service management certifications
What the Role Offers
Salary range: $250,000–$275,000
