General Surgeon

Overview General Surgeon – Acute Care Focus. Location: Central and Southern New Jersey. Position Type: Full-Time. Department: Surgery / Acute Care Surgery. Private Practice.

Opportunity Overview: Stafford Surgical Specialists / Montclair Surgical Associates is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible General Surgeon with a strong interest in acute care surgery to join a growing, collegial surgical team. This position offers a balanced practice with a focus on emergency general surgery, and bariatric surgery supported by a robotic surgery platform.

Responsibilities

Provide acute care and emergency general surgery coverage

Participate in shared call coverage with a supportive surgical team

Collaborate closely with emergency medicine, intensivists, anesthesia, and hospitalist services

Participate in quality improvement, patient safety, and clinical excellence initiatives

Qualifications

MD or DO

Board Certified or Board Eligible in General Surgery

Strong interest or experience in acute care and emergency surgery

Eligible for medical licensure in New Jersey

Excellent clinical, communication, and teamwork skills

Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree
