Supervisor Reports directly to the pastor; generally accountable to the Personnel Committee and Sunday School Director.

Purpose Lead and disciple children (Pre-Kindergarten-5th grade) through weekly biblical teaching, ministry events, while developing relationships. Support the mission of Lebanon Baptist Church by modeling Christlike conduct and engaging youth, parents, and the wider community.

Key Responsibilities

Assist church program organizations in developing a comprehensive children’s ministry program.

Oversee the planning, coordination, evaluation, and theological education aligned with Lebanon Baptist Church’s mission.

Be present and available to teach biblical curriculum on Sundays and Wednesdays.

Maintain strict confidentiality regarding all personal and church-related information.

Uphold a positive attitude toward church life, work duties, program development, and ministry procedures.

Coordinate with Youth Minister for broader church vision (moving children forward to youth ministry).

Submit annual reports to the stewardship committee chair regarding budgetary needs.

Stay informed about current children’s Christian education resources and materials.

Perform other ministry-related duties as needed.

Expectations

Plan and conduct special projects and activities for children’s programs and events (Vacation Bible School, Christmas and Easter pageants, etc…).

Collaborate with the nominating committee to select and mentor teachers for children’s Sunday school.

Advise on the use of program materials, equipment, supplies, and space for children’s groups.

Work with church staff and leadership to provide necessary services.

Meet quarterly with the pastor to review planned activities.

Coordinate with the Sunday school director on event recommendations and resources.

Participate in evaluations by the personnel committee after six months and annually thereafter.

Qualifications

A growing personal relationship with God and a teachable spirit.

Experience in children’s ministry and basic administrative skills.

Passion for evangelism, outreach, and discipling of children.

Strong relational skills with youth, parents, staff, and congregation.

Background in biblical/theological studies; alignment with church mission: Loving God, Experiencing Grace, Transforming Lives.

Commitment to integrity, appropriate conduct, and professional appearance.

Consent to background check and drug testing.

Compensation Negotiable rate of compensation between $50-100 weekly, dependent upon experience and qualifications.
