The successful candidate for this position will be a 1099 contractor with Music Ministry International and be responsible for the following:
1.0 SCOPE Non-personal services. The Coordinator shall provide 15 hours a week for 52 weeks of Youth Ministry Services. The 15 hours per week will be coordinated with the Senior Chaplain upon award of the contract. The Coordinator shall provide personnel to establish, implement and maintain a strategy, and comprehensive plan for a Youth Ministry Program for the Chapel located on Marine Corps Base Hawaii (MCBH). Coordinator Personnel shall perform the specific tasks in accordance with this Performance Work Statement.
2.0 CONTRACT OVERVIEW The key objective is for a Marine Corps Base Hawaii (MCBH) wide Christian nondenominational religious youth ministries program, established and conducted for school students, that supports specific youth ministry needs and other established programmed services of the Religious Ministries Department, to include programming, development and implementation of youth activities, and general Religious Education.
3.0 QUALIFICATIONS
A Letter of Recommendation from a Protestant military Chaplain or Senior Pastor stating that he/she is an active, practicing member of a Protestant Community.
A resume supporting the qualifications and technical requirements.
A copy of degree if applicable.
A narrative supporting professional knowledge of the tenants of faith of the Protestant community and understands the requirements for religious support of children, youth and adults of the different Protestant denominations onboard military installations.

4.1 SPECIFIC TASKS The Coordinator shall provide and coordinate chapel and chapel related youth ministry activities for school age children. The Coordinator shall coordinate with local schools, churches, and youth agencies to ensure overall coordination of MCBH youth ministry activities do not conflict with other youth activities. The Coordinator shall provide a station wide Christian Religious Program, supporting specific youth ministry needs in addition to those provided by MCBH Chapel staff and volunteers. The Coordinator shall articulate and develop promotional campaigns and endeavors, maintain records of supplies, materials, and attendance to include youth, volunteers, organizations, and agencies, and provide a syllabus or lesson plan for the entire period of performance.

4.1.1.3 Volunteer Activities 4.1.1.3.1. Recruiting - Recruit and train adult volunteers on a weekly basis to assist in the conduct of the ministry program. The Coordinator shall be responsible for ensuring that volunteers recruited to assist in youth activities is consistent with religious teachings within the chapel. Selection of volunteers will be in accordance with procedures established by the coordinator and approved by the Command Chaplain. Volunteers shall be subject to completion of background checks. The coordinator shall be provided a quota on the number of volunteers needed to meet ministry program requirements.
4.1.1.3.2. Mentoring and Training – Conduct training sessions to mentor and train volunteers in all aspects of youth ministry with the goal of establishing an effective volunteer by teaching skills and confidence in dealing with youth ministry.
4.1.1.3.3. Volunteer Roster - Maintain and update a volunteer roster to include name, address, phone number, military affiliation, utilization and role, training and hours volunteered
