Heidelberg Materials North America operates over 450 locations across the U.S. and Canada with approximately 9,000 employees.**What You'll Be Doing*** Safely handle, load, and detonate explosives for quarry operations* Inspect blast areas and ensure compliance with safety regulations* Calculate and prepare blast patterns for optimal material fragmentation* Operate and maintain blasting equipment and related tools* Collaborate with team members to coordinate blasting schedules**What Are We Looking For*** Demonstrated ability to work safely and follow strict safety protocols* Strong understanding of blasting techniques and quarry operations* Capability to read and interpret technical plans and measurements* Effective communication and teamwork skills* Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work independently**Conditions of Employment*** Successful candidate must submit to post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screen, and background check* Some positions require FMCSA regulated ongoing drug and alcohol testing**Work Environment*** Role operates primarily in environments where the conditions include moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, cold, humidity, and elevated noise level**What We Offer*** $27.20 per hour* Benefits through the Union for Medical, Dental, Vision and Pension* Union paid vacation, sick leave and holidaysEqual Opportunity Employer - Minority / Female / Veteran / Disabled #J-18808-Ljbffr
