Harvey Vogel Manufacturing Co., a leader in metal stampings, has an immediate opening for a qualified Maintenance Mechanic.
The successful candidate is responsible for electrical/electronic systems, equipment, and facilities maintenance which include repair/layout, or modification of facilities/equipment. This includes repair on a variety of electrical and mechanical equipment. Diagnosing and correcting mechanical/electrical/electronic problems. Troubleshooting knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems necessary to maintain, repair, troubleshoot, move machine tools.
Essential job duties and responsibilities:
Must have the ability to read and understand mechanical and electrical prints diagrams, and technical repair manuals. Knowledge of occupational hazards and necessary safety precautions applicable to maintenance work. Knowledge in the general repair of building equipment. Ability to operate, install, and repair machinery and equipment in a safe and efficient manner. Use diagnostic equipment to test circuitry and components. Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems, including wiring, lighting, and control systems. Read and interpret schematics to diagnose issues effectively. Respond promptly to maintenance requests. Education/Experience/Skill Requirements
5-7 years or equivalent Maintenance Mechanic experience Trade Knowledge in areas such as plumbing, welding and mechanical process preferred. Vocational/Trade school or equivalent training in the following areas electrical/electronics, hydraulics, mechanical drives, pneumatics, and machine operations.
