Job Summary and Qualifications The Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) ensures and delivers high‑quality, patient‑centered care and coordinates all functions in the unit during the designated shift. Working with the management team, the CNC directs, monitors, and evaluates nursing care, serves as a resource for staff, and models a commitment to the organization’s vision and mission. The role contributes to an unparalleled patient experience and clinical outcomes that enhance departmental performance.
Responsibilities
Assist with admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient throughput and high‑quality patient‑centered care.
Participate in ongoing assessment of the quality of patient care services provided in the unit.
Collaborate with subject‑matter experts and other managers to create a teamwork environment that supports improved outcomes and service.
Support a patient‑first philosophy and engage in service recovery when necessary.
Assist in operationalizing current nursing strategies (employee rounding, hourly rounds, and other initiatives) to improve engagement.
Provide recommendations related to interviewing, selecting, and training new staff, and implement actions such as training, conflict resolution, personnel policy compliance, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions.
Assist with staff scheduling and manage all labor aspects in accordance with patient care needs and productivity guidelines.
Support inventory control and assist with managing supplies and equipment.
Qualifications
Basic Cardiac Life Support certification obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
Registered Nurse (RN) license.
Registered Nurse Diploma.
