Job Summary This role provides direct clinical patient care, assessing, planning, implementing and supervising nursing care for patients on a per‑shift basis. The RN works closely with the Chief Nursing Officer to ensure safe, high‑quality, and cost‑effective care, staff competency, and resource management.
Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive, safe, and cost‑effective nursing care to all patients.
Coordinate and integrate patient care based on the nursing process.
Direct care in accordance with safety, risk‑management, QI and infection‑control standards, aiming for optimal discharge outcomes.
Plan and coordinate patient care within the prescribed medical regimen.
Administer all medications safely and in a timely manner per hospital policy.
Perform and fulfill all HICS (hospital incident command system) responsibilities during emergencies or disasters.
Know and execute the hospital’s emergency codes and adhere to related policies and procedures.
Education
Required: Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
Preferred: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Nursing.
Experience
Preferred: Recent acute‑care experience.
Certifications
Required: Current nursing license/registration as required by state law or regulation.
Required: AHA BLS; additionally, AHA ACLS, PALS, and/or NRP as required by unit policies.
