Arms Acres is looking for a RN for our inpatient facility located in Carmel, Ny.
Shift Shift: Days, Evenings, and Overnights, per Diem, Part Time, Full Time
Responsibilities Initiates nursing process utilizing the
nursing assessment tool
and on an ongoing basis, by planning, coordinating, implementing and evaluating nursing care based on clinical knowledge, patients' needs and a collection of data.
Develops and updates
treatment plans to address nursing diagnosis
and reviews with the multidisciplinary team to provide input for diagnosis, length of stay and readiness for the next level of care.
Implements detoxification procedure
where indicated and delivers appropriate care according to withdrawal scale and physician's orders.
Retrieves orders and
administers correct medications
per physician's orders and facilitates procedure and policy. Maintains updated knowledge of withdrawal medications and modalities used in addictions treatments.
Records and reports
to appropriate care providers any information that may impact the patient's treatments or continuing care, and completes medical discharge form.
Qualifications Unit nurses will be graduates of an accredited school of nursing and hold a current valid RN license to practice in the State of New York.
Substance Abuse Treatment Experience Preferred.
