Position: Direct Support Professional Hourly Rate: $14.00 / hr Shifts: Part Time - Mon to Fri 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM; Saturdays and Sundays (AMs and PMs) As a DSP, you will play a vital and compassionate role in empowering individuals with developmental disabilities, complex medical needs, mental illness, and/or substance use disorders to achieve fulfilling lives. The role focuses on health, safety, well-being, independence, inclusion, and personal growth within positive, life-enriching environments. Provide direct services to residents by implementing the support plan created by the resident’s team (Direct Care Coordinator, Case Manager, Guardian, Day Program staff). Assist in implementing individual program plans by communicating with the DC/ADC and offering constructive feedback during staff meetings. Document and participate in all individual programming; maintain accurate documentation to demonstrate progress toward each individual’s outcomes and needs. Greet and document daily resident progress to show measurable outcomes for the individuals served. Participate in all areas of support: training, counseling, and assistance in personal hygiene, routine health care, community rights and responsibilities, interpersonal relationships, meal planning, housekeeping, safety, and other listed areas. Education: High School Diploma or GED Experience: Must obtain and maintain active First Aid and CPR certification; crisis de-escalation or therapeutic intervention training when scheduled Physical Requirements: Regular program location work with occasional outdoor/community work; ability to lift up to 50 lbs; frequent sitting, grasping, talking, hearing; occasional bending, lifting, and mobility tasks Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Knowledge of state and federal regulations, person-centered philosophy, medication administration protocols, emergency procedures; strong organizational, time management, communication, and interpersonal skills; ability to maintain confidentiality and work with diverse populations Benefits
