Job Summary The
Registered Nurse – CVOR
provides specialized perioperative nursing care for
open-heart and cardiovascular surgical procedures . This role supports surgeons and the surgical team by performing both
scrub and circulating functions , ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality care before, during, and after surgery. The RN CVOR works in a fast-paced operating room environment requiring advanced clinical skills and strong collaboration.

Responsibilities
Perform scrub duties, including selection, handling, and management of surgical instruments and supplies.
Perform circulating duties, including monitoring patient status and managing overall nursing care before, during, and after procedures.
Assist surgeons directly with surgical tasks such as hemostasis, suturing, wound exposure, and patient positioning.
Prepare operating rooms, surgical instruments, and equipment for scheduled procedures.
Maintain sterile technique and ensure compliance with OR safety standards.
Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiology, and perioperative team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Document perioperative care accurately and in a timely manner.
Requirements
Minimum
2 years of CVOR or open-heart surgery experience
required.
Active
Registered Nurse (RN) license
