CT‑Spec Procedures Tech (Full Time, 7:00pm-7:00am)
Join Penn Medicine, a leading academic medical center, as a CT‑Spec Procedures Tech. The role involves performing high‑quality diagnostic CT examinations under the direction of a radiologist, ensuring patient safety, accurate image acquisition, and effective use of imaging protocols.
Responsibilities
Communicate regularly with staff on progress toward defined goals; provide feedback and coaching.
Perform high‑quality diagnostic computer tomography examinations, following physician orders, maintaining accurate patient positioning, exposure, and protection.
Obtain patient history, explain the procedure, address concerns; verify prescription accuracy, pre‑certification if required.
Use PACS, PennChart, and other departmental IT systems; compile images, provide comparisons, and prepare documentation.
Perform quality control testing and routine equipment maintenance; keep supplies stocked.
Coordinate work assignments, staffing, and call schedules; maintain adequate staffing per operating budget.
Assist in training new technologists and ancillary personnel.
Participate in on‑call coverage, maintaining a 1‑hour response time.
Support patient safety initiatives, regulatory compliance, and continuous quality improvement.
Communicate roles, accountabilities, and performance measures to staff.
Credentials
Amer Registry Radiologic Tech (Required)
American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) – Credential (CT)
Radiologic Technologist (Required)
NJ DEP License in Diagnostic Radiography
Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) (Required)
Education and Equivalent Experience
H.S. Diploma/GED (Required)
Associate of Arts or Science in Radiologic Technology or equivalent
Bachelor of Arts or Science in Radiologic Technology or equivalent

Salary Range: $36.56 – $58.30 per hour
