Position Summary Under the direct supervision of the assigned Registered Nurse, the Certified Nursing Assistant performs a variety of direct patient care activities in caring for the personal needs and comforts of patients. The role addresses the specific needs of age groups from infant to elderly, accommodates impairments such as hearing, sight, substance abuse, language barriers, and serves potential victims of abuse. The CNA incorporates knowledge of patient rights, exceptional care, and the hospital's values and mission into daily duties while maintaining patient privacy and confidentiality at all times.
Education High school diploma or equivalent is required.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations Required Must possess a valid Massachusetts Certified Nursing Assistant license or show proof of enrollment in accredited nursing school and completion of the courses “Fundamentals of Nursing I & II.”
Experience Experience as a nursing assistant strongly preferred.
Knowledge and Skills
Knowledge of medical terminology is required.
Ability to communicate effectively in English with staff and patients is required.
Must be able to prioritize multiple requests to ensure timeliness and provide exceptional patient care.
Must possess the skills to be compassionate, empathetic and responsive to the needs of a variety of patients.
Computer experience preferred.
CPR required.
Compensation Range $17.62 - $26.18 per hour. This range offers an estimate based on the minimum job qualifications. Base pay considers education, experience, and licensure/certifications directly related to position requirements.
