PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES Position will work in a team environment to ensure that the NFG SCADA system is operable by the Gas Control Department on a 24/7 basis throughout the year. The NFG SCADA system is utilized for the remote monitoring and control of field facility equipment, including compression, flow control, pressure control, valves and various telemetry. Over time this position will be required to learn and provide support for responsibilities of the SCADA Engineering Team, including:
Provide technical support of the AVEVA OASyS SCADA system and hardware, including maintenance of HMI displays, hardware troubleshooting, configuration of new facility telemetry and controls, evaluation of alternative communication options, testing and emergency support
Program and troubleshoot PLCs and RTUs used across our remote field locations.
Coordinate activities among SCADA, Electrical and Operations departments for new equipment installation projects, replacement equipment installation projects and troubleshooting existing equipment.
Evaluate, configure, test and implement alternative technologies as applicable to the SCADA system. This includes selection and performing proof of concept testing for hardware and software functionality.
Document SCADA system operations, maintenance, issues observed and resolution of issues.
Support Gas Control Department and other department/corporate users of the SCADA system. This includes supporting reports, data requests and SCADA access security.
Provide technical support to ensure the reliable operation of the Gas Measurement field data collection system hardware and software.
Position will have opportunity to and requires collaborating with and supporting several departments across the company. These departments include Gas Control Operations, Engineering Services, Compression Services, Electrical and Automation Services, Measurement-Regulation-and-Control (MRO), IT and Gas Measurement.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelors in a relevant engineering discipline (with a graduation date in 2026)
Experience and/or course work related to control systems
Experience and/or course work related to programming
Ability to produce well written and easily understood documentation
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelors in Electrical Engineering
In addition to Engineering experience, IT experience a plus.
Experience with SCADA or industrial control systems (AVEVA OASyS product preferred)
Experience with PLC programming and hardware (Emerson Remote Automation Solutions ControlWave Micro devices preferred)
Experience with Visual Basic, communications technologies (satellite, radio, cellular), and/or Microsoft SQL queries and databases
Cyber security training/certifications

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS The base salary range for this position is $70,000 – $82,000.

The specific base pay offered to a successful applicant will be based primarily on relevant professional experience. Other components that may be considered include: individual qualifications, licensures, industry specific experience, education and market demands for specialized skills. The pay range is subject to change at any time based on various internal and external factors. Exempt positions will also be eligible for an Annual Cash Bonus Plan.
