Job Description Responsibilities

Solution Architecture and Deliverables:

Develop a system architecture for an automotive system that is novel and has differentiated factors than the competition.

Maximise use of Renesas products in the architecture as per the product roadmaps.

Deliverables include system architecture, simulation results, design calculations, comprehensive support materials and resources to aid customers in the design and integration of Renesas products.

Customer Support and Engagement:

Provide comprehensive support to automotive customers, assisting them in selecting appropriate solutions and Renesas products.

Address customer inquiries and technical challenges, providing timely and effective solutions.

Collateral Creation:

Develop collateral, including technical documentation, application notes, case studies, white papers, and presentations at solution level and leverage the collateral developed by the product line at product level.

Cross-functional Collaboration:

Work closely with product marketing teams, system and solution engineering, sales, and business development to align solution requirement and feasibility.

Technical Expertise:

Leverage deep technical expertise in power converters (Traction Inverters, OBC/DC-DC converters, Braking, EPS), Zonal Architecture, IVI, and vehicle control systems to develop system architectures as per the roadmap.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electronics/Electrical/Instrumentation Engineering, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.

Minimum of 7 years of experience in automotive electronic product development and/or systems engineering with a strong focus on electronics, algorithm development.

Very good understanding of electronic components like MOSFETs, GaN, MCUs, discrete electronics, magnetics, etc.

Proven track record of successfully supporting automotive customers in the adoption of electronics products.

Extensive technical knowledge of traction inverters, motor control, OBC/DC-DC converters, zonal architecture, IVI, and vehicle control systems.

Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information to diverse audiences.

Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to address customer challenges effectively.

Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.

Experience in simulation tool MATLAB, PSpice, Autosar.

Preferred Skills

Experience with automotive electrification and powertrain systems.

Familiarity with automotive standards and regulatory requirements.

Experience in FUSA and cyber security.

Project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
