DTG is committed to providing the highest quality opportunities for the widest group throughout their career trajectory. Our internship program provides students with an immersive view of theater administration through on‑the‑job experience, departmental projects, and educational seminars.

The Summer Associate, Finance, will gain an understanding of financial planning and decision making at Disney Theatrical Group. In addition, the Summer Associate will be exposed to in‑depth knowledge of the process behind forecasting, analysis, and planning for commercial theatrical productions. The Summer Associate will further develop their quantitative and analytical skills, as well as gain exposure to articulating financial issues to various business operators. Lastly, the Summer Associate will serve as a key player in supporting the DTG finance department.

What You Will Do

Assisting EVP/CFO offices with ongoing project work in support of DTG business units surrounding revenue and/or expense optimization, and evaluating the economic opportunity of contemplated productions or business ventures.

Exploring brand and business extensions to drive new sources of revenue for DTG, drawing from existing research and supplementing with additional data to drive actionable recommendations.

Performing research through various sources (journals, databases, industry reports, info from other divisions of Disney, etc.) and preparing reports to inform senior leaders on global live entertainment trends and innovations, focusing particularly on worldwide markets with nascent/fast‑growing live entertainment markets.

Required Qualifications & Skills

Interest in media & entertainment; specific interest/experience in theatre is a plus.

Superior written and oral communication skills.

Strong Excel (quantitative analysis/modeling) and presentation‑making skills (PowerPoint, Keynote).

Pre‑MBA work experience ideally in roles involving cross‑departmental projects and multiple stakeholder‑management, a plus.

Education

Currently enrolled in MBA Program.

Eligibility Requirements & Program Information Candidates for this opportunity MUST meet all of the below requirements:

Be at least 18 years of age.

Posess unrestricted work authorization.

Additional Information

Must provide full work availability from June 1 through August 14, 2026.

Must provide own housing and transportation, position is located in New York City.
