Janicki Industries is a private and family-owned business based in Washington State with a Layton, Utah, facility. The Layton Utah facility specializes in machining the largest most complex structures built from carbon fiber composites and aluminum for the aerospace and space exploration markets.

The parts produced are installed on todays most advanced fighters, bombers, rockets, and space vehicles. Janicki Industries continues to lead the market with both innovations and abilities alike. This position is located on-site in Layton, Utah.

POSITION DESCRIPTION This individual will work within one of our engineering teams, supporting the team to include project planning, scheduling, budget monitoring, and the creation of reports. An ideal candidate is well‑spoken, and able to communicate with individuals across the company, is passionate about learning new tasks, and is extremely organized. Having a positive, “we can do it” attitude is key. This position could have multiple opportunities to move up across the company.

Coordinates multiple tasks and projects within an engineering team

Holds team accountable to team goals and other project related tasks

Generates and maintains schedules and budgets for customer projects as well as continuous improvement projects

Communicates with employees at all levels of the company and to customers or vendors to ensure project success

Support and engages with the team in various ways such as contracts review, creation of design review presentations, procurement of materials, bid work ups, or completing assigned tasks

Facilitates team activities including but not limited to personnel training

Interfaces with and understands key software programs such as SAP/SQL/QCBD/MS Projects

Creates and maintains reports to support communication of project and team status

Behavior: The incumbent must work well under pressure, meeting and completing multiple deadlines. The incumbent shall, at all times, demonstrate cooperative behavior with colleagues and supervisors.

Being at work on time and maintaining good attendance is a condition of employment and is an essential function of the job.

Performs other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

Due to our ITAR and EAR regulations, applicants must be a US Citizen or of Legal Permanent Resident Status as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b (a) (3).

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). Janicki will assist with gaining this access once employed. Special Access Program or other Government Access Requirements are mandatory for this position and requires candidate agreed to enter a Continuous Evaluation program.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s Degree in engineering or business is required

Education may be substituted with equivalent industry experience

Minimum requirement for all positions is a high school diploma or GED

Has technical aptitude to learn and retain new concepts

Professional conduct with coworkers and customers

Highly organized with multitasking ability to evaluate and prioritize work

Must have strong communication skills through written, verbal, and graphical mediums in the English language

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Software, experience in scheduling software is required

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Salary range for this role is between $83,000 - $90,000 , plus discretionary bonus, 401(k) matching, vacation, and health benefits. Employees can also receive additional pay for off-shifts. The range provided is Janicki’s estimate of the base compensation for this role. Actual amount offered will be based on job‑related and non‑discriminatory factors such as experience, location, education, training, skills, and abilities
