ABOUT THE ROLE Our client is seeking a QA Engineer to ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of software and data-driven solutions in a hybrid role based in Atlanta, GA. As a QA Engineer, you will partner closely with engineering, data, and product teams to validate requirements, test functionality, and support the delivery of high-quality, scalable systems through both manual and automated testing. You will play a key role in validating data integrity, supporting regression and user acceptance testing, and contributing to the continuous improvement of QA processes and standards. This is a contract position through 2026.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Design, develop, and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts for applications, data pipelines, and analytics solutions
Perform manual and automated testing to validate functionality, performance, data accuracy, and system reliability
Identify, document, track, and validate defects through resolution
Collaborate with developers, data engineers, and business stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure comprehensive test coverage
Validate data integrity across systems, databases, and integrations
Support regression testing, system testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT)
Contribute to the continuous improvement of QA processes, standards, and testing frameworks
Clearly communicate test results, risks, and quality metrics to project teams and leadership
Participate in cross-functional collaboration to ensure alignment on quality objectives and deliverables
Manage time effectively to prioritize tasks and meet project deadlines
WHAT YOU BRING
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
2+ years of experience in quality assurance, software testing, or data testing
Experience creating and executing test cases and test plans
Familiarity with SQL and validating data across databases or reports
Understanding of SDLC and QA best practices
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Experience with test automation tools and frameworks (preferred)
Experience testing data pipelines, analytics platforms, or reporting solutions (preferred)
Familiarity with Python or other scripting languages (preferred)
Experience working in Agile or DevOps environments (preferred)
Knowledge of data quality, ETL processes, or cloud-based systems (preferred)
Experience supporting enterprise or regulated environments (preferred)
Competency in manual and automated testing, defect tracking and documentation, data validation and analysis, and clear communication of technical findings
Strong time management and prioritization skills
Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams
