Position Summary:
Bridgeway Center, Inc. (BCI) is seeking an enthusiastic, professional, and customer-focused individual to join our Health Clinic team as an Access Specialist. The ideal candidate enjoys working with the public, provides exceptional customer service, and is committed to ensuring every client has a positive and supportive experience.
The Access Specialist serves as the first point of contact for patients and visitors and is responsible for front-desk and administrative operations within the Health Clinic. Duties include greeting patients, answering phones, responding to inquiries, collecting and accurately entering patient information into the Electronic Health Record (EHR), and scheduling and verifying appointments.
This position also involves notifying patients of prior balances, collecting payments, processing credit card transactions, balancing the cash drawer, and maintaining strict confidentiality at all times. In addition, the Access Specialist is responsible for cleaning the Health Clinic on Fridays.
Strong multitasking skills, professionalism, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively with BCI staff and external stakeholders are essential to ensuring seamless clinic operations and positive patient experiences.

Minimum Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent General Education Diploma (GED)
Applicants must be able to pass an Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA) Medicaid and Florida Department of Children and Families (DCF) Level II background check, drug screen, Tuberculosis (TB) test, and National Sex Offender Registry search. Applicants must be at least twenty-one (21) years old and possess a valid Florida Driver’s License with no more than three (3) points on their driving record to be insured under BCI’s automobile insurance policy.

Duties / Responsibilities: Some of the job tasks and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Scheduling, verifying, and rescheduling appointments as needed
Notifying patients of prior balances and collecting payments
Processing credit card transactions and issuing receipts
Maintaining cash drawer reconciliation
Upholding patient confidentiality and HIPAA standards
Cleaning the Health Clinic on Fridays
