Clinical Informatics Analyst
to bridge the gap between clinical operations and technology. This role is critical to ensuring that
Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems , clinical workflows, and data processes support high?quality patient care and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will have a strong clinical background
combined with
technical expertise in health informatics, EHR systems, and data interoperability . This individual will collaborate with clinicians, IT teams, and vendors to optimize workflows, implement new functionality, and support the organization’s transition to a future?state EHR ecosystem. Reporting to the
Chief Information Officer (CIO) , the Clinical Informatics Analyst will play a key role in
process mapping, data integrity, and clinical decision support initiatives . Key Responsibilities
Clinical Workflow Analysis & Optimization
Analyze current clinical workflows and identify opportunities for improvement. Develop future?state process maps aligned with best practices and regulatory requirements. Collaborate with clinical teams to ensure technology solutions meet patient care needs. EHR System Support & Enhancement
Configure and maintain EHR modules to support clinical, pharmacy, and laboratory workflows. Assist in EHR implementation projects, including testing, validation, and go?live support. Develop and maintain clinical decision support tools, templates, and documentation. Data Integrity & Reporting
Ensure accuracy and completeness of clinical data across systems. Support data governance initiatives and compliance with
HIPAA
and
HITRUST
standards. Collaborate with BI and analytics teams to develop clinical dashboards, KPIs, and leadership reports. Training & End?User Support
Provide training and ongoing support for clinicians and staff on EHR functionality and best practices. Develop user guides and training materials for new workflows and system enhancements. Vendor & Stakeholder Collaboration
Act as a liaison between internal stakeholders and EHR vendors for issue resolution and system enhancements. Participate in vendor demonstrations and contribute to system evaluations using scorecards and KPIs. Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in
Nursing, Health Informatics, or a related healthcare or IT field . Clinical background (RN, LPN, or equivalent experience) strongly preferred. Hands?on experience with EHR systems such as
Epic, Cerner, Charm, Sapphire, or similar . Working knowledge of interoperability standards ( HL7, FHIR ) and healthcare terminologies ( SNOMED, LOINC, RxNorm ). Strong analytical and problem?solving skills with high attention to detail. Excellent communication and collaboration skills across clinical and technical teams. Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree in
Health Informatics
or
Healthcare Administration . Certifications such as
CPHIMS, Epic Certification, or Clinical Informatics Board Certification . Familiarity with
data governance frameworks
and
AI?driven reporting tools . Experience in
correctional healthcare environments
