Overview This position will primarily focus on the following Epic application: Healthy Planet. The Epic Application Analyst, Health Planet is the primary support contact for the above applications and will guide workflow design, build and test the system, and analyze other technical issues associated with Epic and any other connected software. Focus on the Value Based Care and Value Based Performance Management.

Required Skills

Strong knowledge of population health management to identify high-risk and high-cost patients

Knowledge of care management and value-based care to analyze and close care gaps as they relate to quality measures such as HEDIS measures

Familiarity with ambulatory care management workflows and wellness programs

Strong analytical, technical, and troubleshooting skills

Demonstrating flexibility with respect to changing end-user business needs

The ability and willingness to recognize assignments or tasks that need to be completed, seek out additional assignments or tasks, and help others

The ability to communicate information clearly and concisely with project leadership and subject matter experts

The ability to gain trust and establish effective relationships with Epic counterparts

The ability and willingness to learn new software and systems

Listening attentively to ensure that the intended message has been accurately received and confirming accuracy

Ability to seek, logically examine, and interpret information from different sources to determine a problem’s cause and develop a course of action to resolve it and prevent recurrence

The ability to persevere in difficult situations, overcome obstacles, and maintain high levels of performance under pressure

Required Experience Epic Application Analyst I

Bachelor’s degree or a license/certification in a clinical specialty with 3 years of experience or less

Minimum 4 years of experience will be accepted in lieu of the required degree or diploma

PIH Health internal applicants or Altera employees (as of May 2025) must obtain Epic certification in the required application/module within 120 days of hire or transfer; failure to certify may result in removal from the position. Internal applicants may apply for other openings for which they meet qualifications.

External applicants must possess active Epic certification in the required application/module at the time of hire. Proof of current certification is required.

Preferred:

Certification, experience, or proficiency in Epic Healthy Planet

Experience in population health management

Epic Application Analyst II

Bachelor’s degree or a license/certification in a clinical specialty with 3 to 7 years of experience

Minimum 4 years of experience will be accepted in lieu of the required degree or diploma

PIH Health internal applicants or Altera employees (as of May 2025) must obtain Epic certification within 120 days of hire or transfer; failure to certify may result in removal from the position. Internal applicants may apply for other openings for which they meet qualifications.

External applicants must possess active Epic certification in the required application/module at the time of hire. Proof of current certification is required.

7 or more years of experience
