is hiring Emergency Medicine Physicians and Physician Associates across Maine and New Hampshire. St. Joseph Healthcare – Bangor, Maine Located in Bangor, Maine, St. Joseph Healthcare is a busy 80-bed community hospital that has proudly served the region since 1947. Our Emergency Department includes 20 treatment beds and an attached Fast Track Unit. Together, our Emergency Medicine Physicians and Physician Associates care for approximately 32,000 patients annually, with continued growth expected. While a Level II Trauma Center located across town manages all OB, cardiac, and major trauma cases, our Emergency Department remains fast-paced and highly active, offering a diverse and rewarding clinical experience.
(2) Part-Time or (1) Full-Time Emergency Medicine Physician
(2) Per Diem Physician Associates (Fast Track Unit)

St. Mary’s Health System – Lewiston, Maine At the heart of Lewiston, the Cecile J. Coulombe Emergency Center at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center is where advanced emergency medicine meets genuine compassion—24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
As a Level III Geriatric Emergency Department–accredited facility, St. Mary’s provides comprehensive emergency care for patients of all ages, with specialized focus on the unique needs of older adults. From unexpected injuries to complex medical emergencies, patients can trust that expert care is always close at hand. Our emergency physicians, nurses, and clinical teams are highly trained to respond swiftly and skillfully, delivering lifesaving care when it matters most.
(1) Full-Time Emergency Medicine Physician (0.75 FTE)
St. Joseph Hospital – Nashua, New Hampshire Located just 45 minutes from Boston, Nashua is a thriving city offering the amenities of a larger metropolitan area combined with the charm of small-town New England. St. Joseph Hospital is a Level III Trauma Center, seeing approximately 25,000 Emergency Department visits annually.
Physicians work 9-hour shifts, while APPs work 10-hour shifts, with overlapping coverage to ensure strong support throughout all hours of operation.
(1) Part-Time Physician (0.54 FTE)
(1) Per Diem Physician
(1) Full-Time Physician Associate (Minimum of 3 years of ED experience required)
