QA Project Engineer – Remote
System One is actively seeking a QA Project Engineer
with strong commercial nuclear experience and expertise in
ASME NQA-1, 10 CFR 50 Appendix B, and 10 CFR 21 . This position supports project quality activities for a major client in the nuclear industry. The role is
fully remote
with occasional travel for project needs. Responsibilities
Serve as the primary QA interface for cross-functional project teams and external partners. Support and advise on quality and process-related issues across multiple projects. Coordinate and prepare responses to customer RFIs and proposal/marketing activities. Develop, maintain, and apply project quality requirements traceability matrices. Manage first-of-a-kind project issues and ensure QA activities are accurately integrated into project plans. Identify, clarify, and resolve quality-related challenges and project risks. Provide direction to QA leads, supervisors, and supporting quality personnel. Develop and maintain QA procedures, workflows, and process improvements. Support risk assessments, mitigation planning, and project reviews. Perform additional project and QA duties as assigned. Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in a technical field. Minimum
8 years of Quality Assurance experience
in the
commercial nuclear industry . Strong working knowledge of: ASME NQA-1 10 CFR 50 Appendix B 10 CFR 21 Experience serving as QA lead on large, complex projects. Experience developing requirement traceability matrices. Strong communication, technical writing, organization, and interpersonal skills. Knowledge of
ASME BPVC Section III, Division 1 . ISO 9001 or international QA standard experience strongly preferred. Must be eligible to work under
DOE 10 CFR Part 810 . Additional Information
Ability to communicate effectively via phone, computer, and in person. Ability to learn new concepts quickly and apply them in a fast-paced environment. Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, and use standard office equipment. Occasional travel required. Compensation
Target Pay Range:
$127,104 – $153,401 annually Full Pay Range:
$113,955 – $178,237 annually Compensation is based on experience, education, skills, and internal equity.
