Position may be required to work extended hours for coverage during storms or other energy delivery emergencies. Primary Duties

Leads and performs assignments in specialized areas requiring extensive engineering expertise; maintains state‑of‑the‑art engineering credentials in the specialized technical area. Leads and performs engineering tasks and projects associated with critical or analytical projects that may include field testing, troubleshooting, and peer review. Evaluates, develops, implements, and leads projects that have significant financial and operational impact; may also develop initial commissioning plans, and writes and performs tasks for documentation deliverables. Participates in department planning through field/site walkdowns, attends meetings and conference calls, provides budget recommendations, and monitors performance to achieve committed results. Performs assignments independently, may lead multi‑discipline teams, and provide oversight of contractors. Serves as an expert in specialized area. Acts as an expert witness or provides expert opinions as required. Provides recommendations to management and implements action plans to improve performance and cost effectiveness. Provides detailed technical training, mentorship, peer review, and guidance to others. Participates in technical and industry societies and committees to enhance knowledge of new technologies and makes recommendations for business decisions regarding strategy for new technologies or engineering techniques and tools. Job Scope

Influences project decisions that have significant impact on the company. Applies technical knowledge to help promote a safe work environment and enhance customer satisfaction. Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or Licensed Professional Engineer; knowledge of engineering designs, principles, and practices. Ability to analyze and interpret complex electrical and mechanical systems. Knowledge and ability to apply problem‑solving approaches and engineering theory. Detailed knowledge of applicable standards, codes, methods, and practices unique to areas of expertise. 7+ years of professional engineering experience, with thorough knowledge and experience in unique areas of engineering expertise. Ability to apply advanced engineering principles to identify and resolve complex issues. Minimum of three related career experiences (e.g., changes in technical job responsibilities) or Lead Member of a recognized industry committee. Professional Engineer’s License, advanced technical degree, MBA, or Project Management Certification; a Master’s degree in Engineering reduces the OJT experience requirement by one year. PE License also reduces the requirement by one year. Note: Items regarding experience reduction apply mutually to specify possible one‑year reduction. Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering. 4+ years of project site design experience in land development and mass grading. PE license preferred. Experience with commercial and residential development, grading plans, utility design, stormwater management design, drainage projects, hydrology, hydraulics, stormwater pollution prevention plans, and site development. Experience with analysis of projects, drawings, layouts, RFI response, field inspection and data analysis. Highway design experience (IDOT and tollway projects), parking lot design. Creating and reviewing technical specifications. Performing independent reviews of work performed by others, including calculations and drawing preparation. Experience using Civil 3D, AutoCAD, Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Suite. Creating designs and construction schedules. Strong communication skills. Benefits

Annual salary ranging from $103,200.00 to $141,900.00 per year, based on skills, qualifications, and experience.
