R40903The Medical Scribe will primarily support VCU Health's Main ED and Pediatric ED at the Main Hospital in Downtown Richmond with the possible occasional need to float to New Kent ED. This is a PRN position that requires 1-2 8 hour shifts/week, days or nights.
\*\*This is not a temporary position and we are seeking a team member who is interested in perm employment\*\*
The Medical Scribe specializes in documenting the physician-patient encounter in real time. This position assists the physician in navigating the EHR, documenting the instructed medical information, formulating the physician note and importing diagnostic results as instructed. This position also ensures the documentation aligns with the health system compliance guidelines.Licensure, Certification, or Registration Requirements for Hire: N/ALicensure, Certification, or Registration Requirements for continued employment: N/AExperience REQUIRED:Successful completion of the VCUHS Medical Scribe Training program within six (6) months of hireExperience PREFERRED:Previous experience as a Medical Scribe Experience with medical terminology & ability to multi-taskEducation/training REQUIRED:High School Diploma or equivalentEducation/training PREFERRED: N/AIndependent action(s) required: SkillsMedical terminology.
