About the role
As a Senior Network Engineer, you will make an impact by architecting and enhancing a secure, scalable enterprise network that delivers high performance and seamless connectivity for a hybrid workforce. You will lead SD-WAN and core switching and routing initiatives, shaping key infrastructure decisions and optimizing network operations. Your work will ensure reliability, enable business growth, and directly support the company’s strategic objectives. You will be a valued member of the Cloud Infrastructure and Security team and work collaboratively with the Lead Infra Architect.
In this role, you will
Architect, design, and implement Aruba EdgeConnect SD-WAN solutions to deliver secure, high-performance connectivity
Integrate and optimize Cisco Catalyst SD-WAN (Viptela) within enterprise environments
Lead switching and routing architecture across campus, branch, and distributed networks
Translate business and application requirements into scalable, reliable network designs
Drive network optimization initiatives to improve performance, resiliency, and traffic flow
Act as a technical authority, providing architectural guidance and mentorship to engineers
Troubleshoot complex network issues and lead root-cause analysis efforts
Define and maintain network architecture standards, diagrams, and documentation
Ensure network designs align with security, compliance, and industry best practices
Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend improvements aligned with long‑term strategy
Partner with vendors and internal stakeholders to deliver network initiatives successfully

What you need to have to be considered
8+ years of enterprise networking experience designing, implementing, and managing large-scale networks
5+ years of hands‑on experience with Aruba EdgeConnect SD-WAN and Cisco Catalyst SD-WAN (Viptela)
Advanced expertise in Cisco Switching and Routing
Proven experience designing and owning enterprise network architectures
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience
These will help you stand out
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills in complex, distributed environments
Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders
Experience working in hybrid enterprise environments

Salary and Other Compensation Applications will be accepted until January 16, 2026. The annual salary for this position is between $114,000 - $133,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
