SAIC is seeking a
Platform Engineer
for the shipboard Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Cyber, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (C5ISR) major systems. This program will be part of a transformative venture, driving the future of next generation afloat mission effectiveness in response to evolving strategic and environmental demands.
This position is contingent upon award news, expected early 2026.
Job Duties
Perform Platform Engineering SATCOM and data link support for stage 4 and 5 test procedures development and test execution project for shipboard C5ISR systems.
Communicate to assigned Project Manager all key project SATCOM systems integration plans, and engineering changes including requirements, C5ISR systems configurations and status, schedule, and scope changes.
Works with the multidisciplinary technical team to ensure successful shipboard industrial test procedures development and testing.

Qualifications
Required Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s and nine (9) years or more relevant experience with one or more C5ISR systems listed below; additional four (4) years of experience in lieu of degrees.
Required Security Clearance:
Must have an active secret clearance on first day of employment with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance.
Required Experience with One or More Key shipboard SATCOM Systems:
Commercial Broadband Satellite Program and STING terminals.
Navy Multiband Terminal (AEHF, WGS, MILSTAR).
Network Tactical Common Data Link (NTCDL).
Advanced Time Division Multiple Access Interface Processor.
Satellite Terminal (transportable) Non-Geostationary (STING).
EHF SATCOM.
Global Broadcast Service (GBS).
Satellite Signals Navigation Set (WRN-6V).
Required Certifications:
Cybersecurity Workforce (CSWF) IA Level II - Security+ certification, or CSSIP or equivalent.
Desired Qualifications and Experience:
Familiar with C4ISR/C5ISR Interface Control Documents, Block diagrams, electrical wiring diagrams, and Functional Interface Drawings.
Experience with MIL-STD-2106 Development of Shipboard Industrial Test procedures.
Prior experience working in a Firm Fixed Price environment.
Prior experience providing support for a project in a shipyard environment.
