Data Analyst – Electric Vehicle Charging (Hybrid) (6‑Month Contract | $40–$44/hr | Expected Extension)
Operating Hours: Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM EST. No travel required. No expected overtime.
Position Summary We are seeking a highly organized and detail‑oriented Data Analyst to support a growing EV charging and energy management team. This role plays a key part in downloading, managing, cleaning, and analyzing electric vehicle charging data to support program development, regulatory reporting, and operational decision‑making. It requires handling large datasets, executing repetitive processes with precision, troubleshooting discrepancies, and collaborating with internal stakeholders to ensure clean, reliable data outcomes that drive business decisions.
Key Responsibilities
Download, consolidate, and organize EV charging datasets from multiple platforms
Maintain high levels of data accuracy, completeness, and quality
Monitor data workflows and troubleshoot inconsistencies or missing information
Analyze charging behavior, load profiles, energy use, and station utilization
Develop forecasts and usage trends to support program design and grid planning
Apply statistical and visualization techniques to prepare summary insights
Coordinate with internal program managers and external stakeholders
Help refine data requirements and improve reporting processes
Present findings using dashboards, charts, and written analysis
Required Skills & Experience
2–5 years of data analytics experience
Proficiency in Python for data handling and analysis
Experience with Power BI or comparable data visualization tools
Strong data cleaning and data validation skills
Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, functions, transformations)
Experience working with large or complex datasets
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working with EV charging data or energy systems
Familiarity with EV telematics, charger‑level or meter‑level data, utility or demand‑response programs
Experience using Salesforce
Ability to translate analysis into actionable recommendations
Comfort adopting and learning new platforms and technologies
Soft Skills
Strong attention to detail and organization
Ability to work independently and in a small team (3–5 people)
Proactive, resourceful, and eager to learn
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Positive attitude and collaboration mindset
Education Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Engineering, or a related field required.
