About the position This is a junior lending professional role within the front office. As a key member of the Lending Team, you will support and work closely with senior bankers. The work will be fast-paced and multifaceted. On the team, you will not be expected to specialize in any one industry and will cover several sectors including but not limited to Energy, TMT, Infrastructure, Transport & Logistics, Fund Finance, Food & Agriculture, and other industry verticals, as required. This will give you exposure to a variety of lending structures and industries, providing the experience and grounding for a strong credit-focused career.
Responsibilities
The Lending Team is involved with every new lending transaction and takes primary responsibility for many of the key processes, which include:
Preparing credit approval packages including annexes and all requisite attachments
Preparing financial models including cash flow forecasts, valuations, and sensitivity analysis
Developing key underwriting assumptions based on a deep understanding of the asset, market and industry trends
Running internal models, including risk ratings and loan pricing
Interfacing with loan operations, treasury, legal teams, clients and co-lenders to coordinate loan closings
Reviewing legal documentation and validating key terms & conditions
The Lending Team works closely with the client relationship managers and/or the Deal Principles on originating and structuring deals, including:
Due diligence, market research and analytics
Term sheet negotiations
Preparing Commercial Committee (Green Light) memos, presentations and discussions with Risk Management
Analysis of different transaction structures and providing recommendations
Attending meetings and calls with clients including transaction-related due diligence
Ensuring a consistent level of quality and policy compliance through training and development activities
Staying current on organizational operating policies and procedures (i.e. Risk, Legal, etc.) to ensure appropriate protocols are implemented and followed, and facilitate these accordingly.
Qualifications / Education
Bachelors’ degree demonstrating high academic achievement
1+ years of relevant work experience, including experience in credit analysis and financial modeling will be a plus
Competencies
Financial analysis and modeling skills, proficiency with Microsoft Excel
Strong organizational skills
Understanding of credit analysis and of debt capital markets
Committed and dedicated individual who will continuously improve the way the team works
Collaborative, team oriented, and able to work effectively across functions and regions
Strong writing, presentation and communication skills
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with multiple competing priorities
Self-motivated and willing to work in a deal oriented and deadline driven environment

Knowledge of, or high degree of interest in, any of the following industries: Renewables & Power, Hydrocarbons & New Energies, TMT, Infrastructure, Trade & Commodity Finance, Real Estate, Investment Industry Finance, Transport & Logistics, Financial Institutions, Export Finance, Food & Agriculture, or Metals & Mining
Salary Range $105,000-$115,000
