IT Engineer II

The

IT Engineer II

is responsible for aiding in designing, implementing, and maintaining the organization’s business network and server infrastructure. This role involves troubleshooting complex network issues, ensuring server reliability, and optimizing system performance. With support, the engineer will collaborate with contractors and act as a validation signatory representative to review and approve validation lifecycle documentation for GMP use, reporting to management and regulatory agencies.

THE ROLE

Assist in designing, configuring, and maintaining network infrastructure, including switches, routers, firewalls, and wireless networks.

Assist in monitoring network performance and troubleshooting connectivity issues.

Assist in maintaining Windows servers, including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and virtualization platforms.

Implement and maintain security protocols to protect network and server infrastructure.

Perform regular system backups, assist in disaster‑recovery planning, and data‑protection measures.

Collaborate with other IT teams to support enterprise applications and cloud services.

Document configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps for internal knowledge sharing.

Assist in requesting purchases for IT and OT business needs.

Assist with capacity planning, performance tuning, and system upgrades.

Provide technical support for escalated IT issues related to networking and server infrastructure.

Stay updated with emerging technologies and best practices to improve IT infrastructure.

Assist with educating company employees on matters related to cybersecurity.

May work in or with department personnel in cleanrooms.

Other duties as assigned.

THE CANDIDATE

Minimum 2‑5 years of job‑related experience in network and server administration.

Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or a related field.

CISSP, Network+, CCNA certification preferred.

Strong knowledge of networking protocols, firewalls, VPNs, and routing.

Proficient with Windows Server & AD administration.

Proficient with Office 365 (Exchange/Entra/Teams/SharePoint/etc.) administration.

Proficient with Hyper‑V Standard/Enterprise +.

Previous ERP/MRP/Cloud‑based systems experience preferred.

Troubleshooting, problem‑solving, critical thinking & customer service skills required.
