About Us Founded in 1987, Canyon Crossroads Animal Hospital has been a cornerstone of the community, dedicated to fostering the human-animal bond through compassionate, individualized care. Our practice is wholly independent, ensuring medical decisions are driven by the veterinarian-client-patient relationship—free from outside influence.
We pride ourselves on providing excellent patient care supported by a highly capable team and state-of-the-art equipment, including:
Advanced anesthesia monitoring : Doppler, capnography, and full Cardell capabilities.
Digital diagnostics : Digital radiographs and dental imaging.
Ultrasound : Equipped with modern Sound Ultrasound technology.
Laboratory services : Extensive in-house Idexx laboratory testing.
Our veterinarians collaborate in a collegial environment, brainstorming challenging cases to deliver the best outcomes. We serve a dynamic client base, ranging from local East Mountain residents to Albuquerque commuters. With diverse cases daily, you’ll never experience the same day twice.

Job Requirements:
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited institution
Licensed, or eligible for licensure, to practice veterinary medicine in New Mexico
Excellent communication and client education skills
Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
Proficiency in routine surgical procedures and dentistry (mentorship available if needed)
Ability to interpret and utilize diagnostic tools including digital radiography, ultrasound, and in-house lab equipment
Commitment to maintaining a high standard of patient care and medical ethics
Ability to manage a diverse caseload with compassion and efficiency
