Orthopedic Trauma Surgeon – Academic Position in Baltimore, MD The Division of Orthopaedic Traumatology is seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Orthopedic Trauma Surgeon with specialized expertise in orthopedic trauma. As part of a renowned academic medical center, you’ll handle complex trauma cases, contribute to innovative treatments, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams. This on-site role emphasizes high-quality patient care, education of residents and fellows, and potential involvement in research initiatives. Expected faculty rank is Assistant Professor or higher, based on your experience and qualifications.
Requirements
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Orthopedic Surgery
Fellowship training in Orthopedic Trauma
Eligible for an unrestricted medical license in the State of Maryland
Medical degree from an accredited domestic university (or foreign equivalent)
Strong commitment to patient care, teaching, and teamwork
Prior experience in orthopedic trauma preferred; rank and tenure will be commensurate with qualifications
Compensation & Benefits
Competitive Salary Range:
$300,000 to $600,000 (base pay, commensurate with education, experience, faculty rank, and years in rank) Note: This range represents minimum and maximum base salaries. Actual compensation may vary based on factors including geographic location, skills, work experience, internal equity, market conditions, and education/training. Additional earnings possible through departmental variable compensation programs.
