About the Role Cyber threats are everywhere, and the constantly evolving nature of these threats can make understanding them seem overwhelming to government agencies. Here at Booz Allen, you’ll be an information security risk specialist who helps organizations understand their risks and craft mitigation plans.

As an information security risk specialist, you’ll work with military leaders to discover their cyber risks, understand applicable policies, and develop a mitigation plan. You’ll gather technical and personnel details to assess the entire threat landscape, then guide clients through a plan of action with presentations, white papers, and milestones.

You’ll translate complex security concepts so that clients can make the best decisions to secure mission‑critical systems. This is your opportunity to take an active role in information security while growing your skills in cybersecurity.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with military leaders to uncover cyber risks.

Understand and apply applicable policies and regulations.

Develop mitigation plans and detailed technical assessments.

Create presentations, white papers, and milestone documents to guide clients.

Translate security concepts into actionable recommendations.

Assist in ongoing program management and stakeholder engagement.

Qualifications

5+ years of experience working with the Federal government or in Federal advising.

Experience developing and briefing material to senior client leadership.

Experience in the cybersecurity or information assurance field.

Analytical skills, including metrics development and executive dashboards.

Strong facilitation skills for working groups, conferences, and meetings.

Knowledge of operational DoD cybersecurity programs.

Top Secret clearance.

Bachelor’s degree (required).

Nice If You Have

Experience writing or drafting executive or formal senior‑level correspondence or material.

Experience with cybersecurity or information assurance policies, strategies, or analysis.

Strong organizational skills, ability to multi‑task and prioritize responsibilities.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Excellent analysis and data gathering skills.

Clearance Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Top Secret clearance is required.

Compensation Salary range: $62,000.00 to $141,000.00 (annualized USD).
