St Engineering
Responsibilities
Plan for effective utilization of manpower and material resources in the Dept.
Coordination / liaising with other departments on daily production schedule.
Monitor drawings/ technical information issuing schedule for Projects.
Attend assigned Project progress and HAT meeting.
Assess staff work performance under his charge as required.
Identify training needs for the men under his charge.
Monitor job progress, man hours, and productivity of the assigned job.
Study and evaluate the work processes and methods of the department.
Explore new ideas to improve work quality and productivity.
Liaise with Owners representative and class surveyor during inspections.
Plan for workers Over Time.
Quality
Evaluate technical/ engineering requirements of the jobs, and reviews drawings.
Resolve any technical problems or issues with OEM/ class/ owner on site.
Monitor and ensure quality work is produced at targeted schedule
Safety
Participate in department safety work plan.
Conduct activities which met regulatory requirements.
Attend VSCC meetings if necessary.
Requirements
Degree in Mechanical or Marine engineering.
Work experience in Marine industry or Refinery Piping works preferably 4 – 5 years
Knowledge of Classification requirements; Ship Building Stds.
Knowledge of Shipboard Piping Systems Design.
Knowledge of piping systems, control system and their classification requirements.
Able to interpret technical piping system drawings and specification.
