2025-18933**As a Lead Power Engineer a typical day might include:*** Maintaining a detailed understanding of electric power systems and how to protect, monitor and control the power system.* Developing papers on innovative power system protection solutions & present at conferences & seminars.* Conceiving and developing concepts for new product ideas and enhancements.* Lead efforts in providing power engineering support for customers & field application engineers.* Serving as project technical lead.* Modeling, teaching and applying SEL Values, Principles of Operations, and World Class Manufacturing Principles.* Embracing the mindset: Understand. Create. Simplify.* Other duties as assigned.**This job might be for you if you have:*** B.S. in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.* Typically 6+ years of experience in electric power systems, protection practices and philosophies.* Excellent technical training, speaking and writing skills.* Experience leading a portion of a project.* Strong writing, documentation, and speaking skills.* Ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities.* Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment.**You may be a stronger fit for this position if you:*** Have working knowledge of SEL products.* Have experience in power system modeling and using EMTP.* Experience in MATLAB and/or Python programming.**Competitive pay.
